All kid activities at the SJA campus take place in either our Kids Building or in our beautiful nurseries (in the Worship Center). These places are tailored to our needs and tastes. Our staff and volunteers are trained and background checked, and love working with the kids each week.

What to expect

When visiting SJA, kids and their parents are met by our friendly staff who get the kids checked into our computer system. This helps us keep track of the little ones and tells us which class they will be attending. Parents are given a tag that coordinates with their child’s tag and is required to check a child out when church services are over. Only the parents are allowed to check in and out their children.

All of our workers have been through a background screening and participate in ongoing staff training. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun program that encourages all kids to participate and learn. Your child is valued here!

Near the sanctuary, our nursery rooms provide a place for nursing mommies, infants, and toddlers (up to age 2). Our nursery staff loves babies and will direct parents to where their child would be best served.

Nursing mother’s room:

Our nursing mother’s room is reserved just for mommies who are nursing. It is a place where new mommies can care for their little one while watching the service on a closed circuit TV.

Infant Nursery:

We have a nursery room dedicated to infants, where they are held and loved on by our staff and volunteers.

Toddler Room:

Our toddler room is where the fun begins as the children sing, listen to stories from the Bible, play and have a snack. We believe that this age group can learn about Jesus too!

**Please be sure to label all of your child’s belongings. If your child is under the weather, please refrain from leaving them in the nursery.**

For our little ones, moving across the campus means that they are growing up! In our preschool program, we sing, play and learn all about God and His love for us. Our dedicated teachers use play, singing and story telling to engage all preschoolers in the lesson. Kids in this program MUST be potty trained as our teacher to child ratio is less than in the nursery.

Kinder through 4th Grade

Once your child has been checked in, we begin each service with lively worship. From there, we break the kids up into age-appropriate classes where they are able to be involved with lessons that make the Bible come alive. Look for a take-home paper that lets you know what your child learned about on that day.

CrossOver 5th through 7th Grade

Making the transition from Kids Church to “Big Church” can be difficult, but with our CrossOver group, young teens can feel comfortable in a church setting tailor-made for them.
